Open Water data programme

In 2017, many  utility companies faced root and branch change as the non-household water market opened to competition.

The opportunity

To take advantage of market liberalization, Thames Water needed to adjust its business processes and systems to comply with new regulations. It chose Practicus to support it.

The engagement

Practicus successfully delivered Thames’s Open Water data programme and transition into BAU. We also facilitated future programme delivery and  Improved internal capabilities in project and programme management.

The difference

This programme was important in enabling Thames to be able to provide entirely separate retail and wholesale operations for its commercial customers, working through the central market operator.
