Programme Management
Gaining the right Programme Manager or Programme Director is not easy. With so much responsibility resting on one set of shoulders, you need to be confident you have the best available person in place.
Practicus understands the ramifications and has many years experience of providing exactly the right professional at short notice. Often the need for an interim Programme Director can arise abruptly, requiring a swift but accurate response.
We apply Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) - the de facto industry standard for best practice. However, we also understand that each change programme and project is different, requiring a practical approach that mixes best practice with pragmaticism and an unerring focus on your outcome.
Project Management
We work with formal best practice methodologies such as PRINCE2 in order to deliver successful outcomes. We also work with clients’ own in-house PM methodologies, for example GRIP in the railway industry, VAF in petrochemical sector and DSDM for Agile Web Development. We can apply product specific methodologies such as ASAP (for SAP) and AIM (for Oracle).
Our Project Managers are all delivery-focused and are often called in to undertake Project Recovery. We understand that methodologies alone do not save or deliver projects: the right people do.
We produce realistic Project Plans, Project Initiation Documents, Stakeholder Maps, Risk Registers and Resource Profiles. We are adept at managing third party suppliers on behalf of clients.
Skills transfer to the client is a key element of our work. We will help you up-skill your staff as part of our delivery schedule.
