Practicus takes its impact on the environment very seriously. Our ISO 14001 accreditation is just one measure among many which we have taken to reduce the environmental footprint of our business and minimise pollution and waste.

Amongst our ISO 14001 commitments in 2010 are:
- reducing paper consumption by 5%
- increasing volume of recycled waste
- expanding range of materials recycled
- achieving carbon neutrality
Actions we have completed in the past include:
- Introduced carbon offsetting flights (through CarbonNeutral)
- Introduced recycling – not just for paper but for plastic, cardboard, cans and other easily recyclable refuse (last year we saved 18 trees by recycling waste paper alone)
- Car sharing – an initiative we are attempting to spread to other businesses sharing common campuses with Practicus
- Video-conferencing with SKYPE - an option we make available to clients and candidates to reduce the environmental impact of regular travel
- Encouraging use of public transport systems over car travel
