P3M - Portfolio, Programme and Project Management

Phasing & Project Management

Scoping & Feasibility Studies

It is human nature to start ‘doing’ before evaluating and planning. We have undertaken numerous fixed price and time-boxed scoping and feasibility studies as a means of risk reduction prior to commitment to full programme expenditure. What is in scope, what is out of scope? How feasible is this? What are the interdependencies, single points of failure, critical gateway criteria? What lessons can we learn from elsewhere? Know what you don’t know...through study and analysis.   

Pilots & Prototyping

“So let’s build a small one and then a full size one!” But first… let’s create a stakeholder environment that allows for piloting and prototyping. We will all learn together and create an enthusiasm for making the full scale programme a success. Let’s seek out the heretics and doubters and get them involved in this phase. These converts soon become your best advocates in the business.  

Setting milestones

Why? Milestones enable you to understand how well you are doing. When did the project start? Is it on track? How much has been spent on it? These are all seemingly straightforward questions but none of them are answerable without proper, demonstrable milestones.

We will work with you to understand what the demonstrable milestones are and work with your staff in delivering your desired outcomes against them. We apply formal methodologies such as PRINCE2 in a pragmatic manner, helping up-skill your staff to project manage your teams.
