Oil and Gas Health Safety and Environment System
With Practicus’s advice, this major Oil & Gas company has delivered notable improvements to construction safety management across a critical gas development project.
Worth £28 billion in capital investment, our client’s project is one of the largest gas developments in the world. It will require wide-scale, international construction activities that place huge importance on Health, Safety and the Environment. The company’s existing approaches to HSE needed to be enhanced to meet the demanding project requirements.
Practicus was engaged to support the improvement of HSE management on this major project. It first developed a fit-for-purpose HSE Management System underpinned by appropriate processes, documentation, procedures and plans. It then delivered a safety review of the project across international sites. The safety review was completed over two months and culminated in the development of a summary report and conclusions that were welcomed by project stakeholders. Several development areas were identified that led to a number of safety initiatives.
Our client now benefits from a fit-for-purpose Health, Safety and Environment management system and initiatives that take account of the specific challenges faced by the project. With this renewed approach to HSE, our client will ultimately achieve a safer working environment across all project sites.
