A major UK supermarket chain was updating all its stores and its newly acquired petrol stations with fit-for-purpose EPoS systems.
For the company, the major source of information for its business intelligence is wrung through its tills. But with aging EPoS systems within its stores, they needed new systems to gain the insight they wanted.
Practicus planned the technical configuration of each new installation, whilst a helpdesk was setup to deal with low level problem management. An MI layer was also implemented, ensuring effective reporting for the company’s needs.
The EPoS upgrades across all UK stores ran to time and budget, with no major breaks in commerce. All minor obstacles were overcome smoothly and quickly. Such was the success of the BI project that Practicus has been requested to provide support to long-term BI strategy.
