This challenger bank was seeking to optimise is Portfolio Management function to ensure effective change delivery. The business-as-usual demands combined with challenging deadlines meant that the crucial area of the PMO had been left in an immature state. Practicus was engaged as a Portfolio Management optimisation partner to enable a step-change in performance.
Practicus conducted a ‘drains-up’ review of all aspects of the Portfolio Management function, including tools, methods, approaches, governance, culture and ways of working. It then made recommendations for the optimisation of the function to enable more efficient, interactive and effective ways of working. The bank also received pragmatic, tailored support, including mentoring and coaching of staff in order to embed and sustain the changes introduced.
