Central payments engine
Centralised International Payments.
The UK banking group engaged Practicus to deliver a study on how it could create a central payments engine, a single operation for all international payments.
The intent was to minimise risk, maximise control and achieve a scalable platform that could cope with 150,000 payments a day. This was a complex £15m project. It involved coordination and requirements capture across many sponsors from the COO to internal IT teams. A rock solid approach was needed and the team achieved this by identifying individuals within the organisation who had previously implemented this technology and capturing the hard lessons learned.
Practicus led the business analysis effort successfully through each stage of the organisation’s highly defined project process, against a backdrop of scope change. The study is now complete and a business case that will satisfy the main drivers for this project is ready.
