Practicus Ltd is one of the UK’s most attractive employers according to workplace engagement specialists Best Companies. The 2010 survey of UK businesses has placed Practicus as this year’s highest first time applicant into the league table of the country’s 100 most rewarding places to work.

Coinciding with the company’s sixth birthday, the achievement is made extra special by Practicus obtaining the full coveted 3 star status in this first year of application. This is the most important accolade awarded by Best Companies.

“Practicus were the highest first-time applicant within the Best Companies top 100 this year,” said Faye Bewley, COO of Best Companies. “Their achievement is to be congratulated.”

Practicus’s score for leadership was of particular note: 95% of employees have a ‘great deal of faith in their leader’, placing it 6th overall. UK Managing Director Darren Tolhurst commented, “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised by Best Companies, we’ve worked hard to make Practicus an enjoyable and rewarding place to work and this independent recognition validates our efforts. There is a genuine sense of teamwork here, and it’s been crucial factor in our success during tough times for the industry. What better birthday present could you ask for?”

Head of HR Meredith Beeson added, “It was a nerve wracking exercise putting together the application for Best Companies – so many people at Practicus are proud to work here, and the results of the survey are highly visible. I was confident we would get a good response but to appear so high in the list on our first application has been a wonderful surprise.”

This award comes on the back of an extremely successful year for the business. Practicus was named one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK for the second year running in the Fast Track 100 league, and recently opened two international offices in Sydney and Amsterdam.

Practicus is an interim management and professional services provider supporting public and private sector organisations through times of significant change. It has been established since 2004 and is headquartered in Henley-on-Thames.
