Interim Management provider Practicus has announced its expansion into Australia, with an office to open in Sydney on November 2nd.

This marks the first expansion of the company outside of Europe and follows the opening of the company's Dutch office earlier this year. Practicus is one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK, listing 15th in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 and this year's international expansion has put both the company and its specialist interim management services onto a global footing.

Practicus is appointing Mark Doyle to the position of General Manager of the new office. Doyle, who has been focusing on senior appointments in Sydney for the last 5 years has worked with Practicus Managing Director Jason Luckhurst before: "Having seen first hand the quality of the model that Jason and the guys have established, this opportunity was too good to miss. I think we're going to have a significant impact here and I can't wait for us to get up and running on the 2nd November."

Sentiments echoed by Luckhurst: "Australia is absolutely central to our business plan. We specialise in identifying the right interim professionals to drive business transformation in an organisation and if you look at what is currently happening across sectors in Australia, it's clear that change, quite large change, is about to occur."

Luckhurst - who was the UK's Young Director of the Year in 2008 - is no stranger to Australian markets. Having worked in the country for a number of years, it was while managing an acquisition project for GE Capital in Sydney that he saw firsthand the difficulties organisations face when trying to deliver change.

"In many ways, this is about bringing the idea back home," says Luckhurst. "There's a fantastic attitude to change in Australia and I'm looking forward to the next few years with great relish."
