Change Management around a Flexible Working Project

A large Australian FS organisation had decided to embark on a major ‘flexible working project’ to make more efficient use of its assets and buildings. As a growing organization, it needed to maximize its use of space. This was to be a sizeable cultural shift within an organisation that had been very accustomed to a fixed-seating structure.

The Practicus Change Associate was engaged to work across a number of streams affecting upwards of 3,000 people. The bulk of the work involved managing the people impacts of the program such as change assessments, business acceptance and readiness, communications, people risks and issues, and training requirements. Key to the success of the role was stakeholder engagement and the careful and appropriate management of communications out to the business.
